Abstract

The  first thousand days of life (1000 HPK) refer to the life phase that begins with the formation of the fetus in the womb until the age of 2 years. Issues that arise during this 1000 HPK period include stunting. This can occur due to inadequate nutritional intake during adolescence and pregnancy, which impacts the fetus and infant. Understanding the urgency of the 1000 HPK period and balanced nutrition aims to ensure that mothers know what needs to be done during these thousand days. The objective of community service (PKM) is to prevent the occurrence of stunting early on through counseling and family support regarding the 1000 HPK period for women of childbearing age. This activity is carried out in the form of nutritional counseling for 27 participants receiving the Family Hope Program (PKH), with media, methods, and timing tailored to the characteristics of the respondents. The location is Cilembang Village, Cihideung District. The average pre-test score was 22.8 ± 8.2, and the post-test score was 55.5 ± 18.8 (∆ = 32.7 and p=0.000). It is hoped that the increase in knowledge will be followed by a change in behavioral attitudes toward meeting the nutritional needs of children and families.
